No. 01 — The story

How a plant gave me back my good days.

I'm Emily. I grew up in Canada, and for most of my twenties anxiety and low moods ran the show. I tried the usual things — therapy, a couple of prescriptions, a lot of pushing through — and nothing really stuck.

What finally helped came as a surprise. Once I'd done the paperwork properly and started using medical cannabis under guidance, I found a couple of strains that genuinely took the edge off — steadier mood, easier sleep, fewer of those days where leaving the flat felt impossible.

“This is just my honest notebook for the Costa Daurada — the places I've walked into and actually liked.”

I live on the Costa Daurada now, and this little site is my honest notebook for it: the clubs, CBD shops and grow stores around Salou and Tarragona that I've walked into and liked. Some I know well; a few are on my list or come recommended by people I trust. I'll always tell you which is which.

No. 03 — Why a club

The case for doing it properly.

People ask why I bother with proper clubs and shops instead of just sorting it out privately. Here's what keeps me coming back.

  1. 1.

Choice you won't find on the street

A good club carries a real range of strains, and the differences matter — especially if you're using cannabis to manage something specific like sleep or anxiety. Being able to pick the right one, not just whatever's around, changed things for me.

  2. 2.

    Quality, and far less guesswork

In a registered space you know what you're getting: produced legally, stored properly, and explained by someone who actually knows the product. That peace of mind is most of the value.

  3. 3.

A room, and a bit of life

The better spots aren't just counters — they put on quiz nights, music, the odd little event. It's a low-key way to spend an afternoon and meet people.

  4. 4.

    People who get it

More than anything, these places gave me a sense of community. When you've felt isolated by something, being around others who simply understand is worth a lot.

No. 04 — Questions

A few things people ask me.

Who's behind this site?
Just me — Emily. I'm not paid by any of the places listed and nobody's advertising here. It's a personal notebook of spots I've enjoyed or that come recommended by people I trust.
Have you been to all of these?
Honestly, no. I've been to most of the Salou and Tarragona ones myself — those are marked 'Been there.' The rest are on my list or come from friends, and I'll always say so rather than pretend.
Is any of this medical advice?
Not at all. Cannabis helped me personally, but I'm not a doctor. If you're considering it for a health reason, please talk to a qualified professional first.
How do cannabis social clubs work in Spain?
They're private, non-profit associations for adults — members only, no public sales, and you sign up in person with ID. Each club has its own rules, so it's always worth asking before you go.
Do you take requests or recommendations?
Yes please. If there's a club, CBD shop or grow store you love around Salou or the Costa Daurada, send it my way and I'll go check it out.
